Our new websites are designed to highlight the District and our schools and provide families and staff with the information they need.

While we are excited to launch the new sites, the project does come with a few potential (and temporary) issues. We request your patience and assistance as we continue to refine the pages on each site.

University Course Credit Policies for IB Diploma Graduates

The IB programme is honored at many major universities both domestically and abroad with regard to university/college credit.  A range of university links are provided below as examples. To find the IB credit awards for other universities you are interested in, go to the universities’ main website and do a search for “International Baccalaureate.” 

  • State of Colorado

    You can earn college credit for the IB exams listed in this table on which you score a 4 or higher. Students who completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme shall, at a minimum, receive 24 semester credits, for IB exams administered as part of the Diploma Programme on which the student received a score of 4 or higher.

  • State of Minnesota

    Students who attain an IB Diploma must be awarded six (6) lower division course credits for a score of four (4) or higher on each Higher Level IB examination and two (2) lower division course credits for a score of four (4) or higher on each Standard Level IB examination. Students who do not earn an IB Diploma can still be awarded college credit for courses with a score of four or higher.

  • State of Texas

    All public colleges and universities grant at least 24 credit hours to entering students who have obtained the IB Diploma and received scores of at least 4 on all IB examinations.

  • State of Kansas

    Each state university awards credit for all IB Diploma Programme exam scores of 4 or higher.
